The Philadelphia Children's Alliance acts to create a coordinated multidisciplinary professional response that brings healing and justice to abused children. The Alliance provides a sensitive, caring response for the kids in a child-friendly and child-focused place. The decorations, toys and caring staff help kids feel safe and secure. The Alliance also has the family in interest and works with them to provide help and support. Children referred to the Alliance partake in a team interview, allowing the police and DHS to obtain information simultaneously. This reduces the pain and suffering for the child and also improves the entire investigation.

At the beginning of April, the Alliance held a press conference to sign the inter-agency agreement and confirm the cooperation with the Special Victim Unit, District Attorney's Office, the DHS, Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and J.J. Peters Institute. All the mentioned organizations are an important part of work the Alliance does for children. The Philadelphia Children's Alliance invited District Attorney Lynne Abraham, Commissioner Sylvester Johnson, Commissioner Cheryl Ransom-Garner, Dr. Cindy Christian, and Ted Glackman to meet at a press conference in the City Hall's Conversation Hall.
Here are some pictures from the press conference.
